Mojica CAA Bound
Brimmer & May School and Mass Rivals rising senior Sammy Mojica made a verbal commitment to Drexel just before noon on Wednesday afternoon.
Mojica announced his decision through his twitter account:
“Just committed & next year ill be playing for Drexel University #Dragons #Blessed”
Drexel became the first division I school to offer Mojica a scholarship earlier this summer and hosted him for an unofficial visit earlier this month.
Binghamton had recently offered as well while Mojica was receiving significant interest from a number of other division I schools.
The versatile six-foot-four guard/swingman figures to be a terrific fit for Drexel, known for their tenacious defense and brand of basketball.
Mojica provides them with a highly versatile player who is capable of seeing minutes at all three perimeter positions. He’s an excellent defender and one of the best perimeter rebounders in New England.
Offensively, he’s at his best on the run or when able to get out in the open floor with the ball, where he’s consistently able to be a playmaker.
Mojica joins Syracuse bound guard Kaleb Joseph, to become the second Mass Rivals product to commit since the end of the July evaluation period.
