Mitchell Transfers to Brewster
Rising junior guard Donovan Mitchell took to his twitter account to announce that he would be transferring to Brewster Academy for the coming school year.
Mitchell spent last season at the Canterbury School, where he led his team all the way to the finals of the NEPSAC Class B tournament while averaging 23 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals per game. He was also named Class B Co-Player of the Year.
On the AAU circuit, Mitchell has come up the ranks with The City, a New York City based program that won the 2012 9th grade AAU National Championship. Unfortunately, Mitchell missed the 2013 July evaluation period with injury but recently returned to the court at the Providence Elite Camp.
Mitchell already claims scholarship offers from the likes of Boston College, Cincinnati, Connecticut, Iona, and Providence among others. He joins another of the region’s top junior, Jarred Reuter, in Brewster’s 2015 class.
