ME 2024 Rankings Update
We continue our updated state-by-state rankings with the northern most state in the region, Maine.
Silvano Ismail remains at the top spot in the state of Maine’s 2024 class as the point guard has continued to impress with Bridgton Academy. Ismail has been a huge part of the Wolverines success this season as the team’s lead guard.
In the second spot is Massachusetts postgrad Will Davis. Davis and his controlled inside/out play has been an x-factor for the Wolverines.
Dominican native Wilber Mejia of Lee Academy takes the third spot. Mejia was very impressive at the ZGPC putting his craftiness and scoring ability on full display. Right behind him at four is the powerful wing/forward Kalvin Catchings who recently committed to Coker (NC).
In the sixth spot is Taiwanese native Warren Yeh who had a breakout game in November in a thriller with Fork Union.
Hampden’s Zach McLaughlin has his squad off to an 11-1 record thus far this season and most recently had 26 in a victory. He takes the tenth spot in the ranking.
At thirteen is 6’7 Forward Liam Garriepy has had a stellar season for Scarborough as they have been a top five team in the state this season.
Ellsworth’s Chance Mercier comes in at 14th as the guard has been a force scoring the ball once again this season. Mercier is looking to win a state championship after coming close the past two seasons.
Pierce Walston rounds out the top 15 as the Orono PG has led a star-studded career thus far with both a basketball & football state championship to his name.
