McDonald’s Announces Nominees
Nominees were announced for the 2018 McDonald's All-American Games on Tuesday.
Players were nominated by their high school coaches, athletic directors, principals, and members of the McDonald's All-American Games Selection Committee according to a press release.
The New England Recruiting Report no longer participates in the nomination process.
The final rosters for the 2018 McDonald's All-American Games will be released on Tuesday, January 16th and the 41st annual McDonald's All-American Game will take place on Wednesday, March 28th in Atlanta and be televised by ESPN.
Local nominees included: Cantavio Dutreil & Dimitry Moise, Trinity Catholic High School; Tyler Thomas, Amity High School; Ethan Wright, Newton North High School; Chuck Hannah, Davis Franks, Kai Toews, and Calvin Whipple, Northfield Mount Hermon School; Shandon Brown and Keenan Fitzmorris, New Hampton School; Lukas Kisunas, Isaiah Mucius, Miles Norris, Nate Roberts, Walter Ellis, and Buddy Boeheim, Brewster Academy; and Simisola Shittu and Sebastijan Skoko, Vermont Academy.
Maine and Rhode Island were two of five total states that did not have a nominee.
The McDonald's All-American Game does not consider post-graduates or fifth year seniors but those players are eligible for other post-season all-star games including the Jordan Brand Classic.
