May D3 Commitment Catch-Up

This is an article catching you up on some of the recent small college commitments throughout the region. 

Travis Cobain from Deerfield Academy is headed to the Midwest Conference to play for Lake Forest. The gritty guard is a floor spacer who also makes plays for others. He competed in the Hoop Group Showcase League for Basketball Club Rhode Island. 

Lucas Mouthaan from Bridgton Academy will be playing at Gordon College next year. The strong-bodied wing has soft mid-range touch and provides defensive versatility. He competed on the Zero Gravity XL circuit for Prodigy Basketball Club. 

Markus Nordin from Bridgton Academy has committed to play at Wheaton College. The athletic wing hits spot-up three-pointers and is a solid positional rebounder. He competed on the Zero Gravity XL circuit for Prodigy Basketball Club. 

Jaelen Jackson from South Portland HS will be competing in the NESCAC at Bates. The heady guard possesses a nice balance of scoring and facilitating. He played his AAU basketball for XL Portland. 

Paul Ippolito from Williston Northampton earned an opportunity to play at Trinity. The crafty guard consistently generates high percentage looks for others. He spent time on the Under Armour Association with Riverside Hawks. 

Owen Layton from Pomfret School will be playing at Pratt Institute. The smooth shooting guard is comfortable hitting three-pointers off the catch or move. He competed in AAU basketball with Mass Commanders. 

Matthew Santosuosso from Bishop Guertin HS will be staying in New Hampshire at Plymouth State. The broadly built guard is tough, makes treys, and cuts well. He played his AAU basketball for New England Storm. 

Tanner Tedesco from Cheshire Academy will be headed to New York and playing for Union College. The cerebral guard is a creative passer and has comfort hitting shots when pulling up. He played his AAU basketball for Team Swish.
