Massoud, Clarke selected for NBPA 100 Camp
In the world of grassroots basketball, the month of June is typically one dominated by camps. Regionally, there are numerous colleges holding elite camps and team camps while nationally each week brings about a high profile, invite only, type of event.
The month began with the Pangos All-American Camp in California. Last week, Nike held their Elite One Hundred Camp in Saint Louis, This week, comes the NBA Players Association Top 100 Camp or "NBA Camp" as it has come to be known.
The NBA Camp takes places at the University of Virginia and hosts 120 players, mostly from around the country but with a select few international players in attendance as well.
This year's field includes two local New England products, both of whom have differentiated themselves at other national camps in recent weeks.
MacDuffie School and PSA Cardinals forward Ismael Massoud starred at Pangos (highlights below by City Outworks on YouTube) and was subsequently invited to be in Virginia this week.
Rivers School and Expressions Elite guard Terrence Clarke was one of the 2021 standouts at Elite One Hundred and was one of five freshmen to earn a late invitation to the NBA Camp as a result.
Terrence Clarke has dominated this past weekend at Nike Elite 100 Camp! Special Wing with size that can flat out score and definitely living up to the hype of becoming the #1 player in 2021. @terrenceclarke_ pic.twitter.com/y5Ov6PIT1y
