Massoud ACC Bound
MacDuffie School and PSA Cardinals forward Ismael Massoud made a verbal commitment to Wake Forest University on Monday.
The 6-foot-8 forward is coming off a strong summer in which he played to especially rave reviews at both the Pangos All-American Camp as well as the NBA Top 100 Camp.
He had previously cut his list to five schools - Auburn, Georgia Tech, Harvard, Rugers, and Wake Forest.
"Wake Forest was my first high-major offer and they've been there since the beginning," Massoud told NERR. "and they had everything to offer. The coaches all have experience playing professionally. The campus is beautiful and the academics are great."
Massoud becomes the second MacDuffie product to commit in as many weeks after James Bouknight pledges to UConn on Monday of last week.
He is also the second PSA Cardinals product to commit to Wake Forest in as many years as former Brewster Academy forward Isaiah Mucius is about to begin his freshman season.
"I never played with Isaiah [on the same team] but when I was there I noticed how much better he had gotten and that said a lot about how they develop players," Massoud said.
Below are some of Massoud's highlights from his junior year at MacDuffie.
