Mann Makes Pick

Tilton School and BABC guard Terance Mann made a verbal commitment to Florida State on Wednesday night, announcing his decision via his twitter account:

Mann had previously trimmed his list to Arizona State, Boston College, Florida State, Indiana, Marquette, and Rhode Island following the July evaluation period.

The highly versatile six-foot-five Mann is capable of playing three different positions and stuffing the stat sheet perhaps unlike any other player in New England with his ability to handle, pass, rebound, score, and defend.

He has played exclusively for BABC on the AAU circuit since arriving in the high school ranks, and has been a key component of their last two EYBL teams.  This year he averaged 10.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.2 steals while also serving as the team's primary ball-handler while leading them back to the EYBL Finals at the Peach Jam.

Mann will be joining a few other former New England prep products in the Seminoles' backcourt including former Brewster Academy guard Aaron Thomas and Xavier Rathan-Mayes, who began his high school career at Cheshire Academy before moving to Huntington Prep.

ESPN.com has a full analysis of Mann's game and how he'll contribute at Florida State.
