Lee Swingman Headed D1
Lee Academy post-graduate Rashad Andrews committed to Southern University on Wednesday, the first day of the late signing period.
Southern University is a division I university in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The Jaguars won the SWAC tournament this March, advancing to the NCAA tournament where they fell to top seeded Gonzaga in first round.
Andrews came to Lee Academy from Boys and Girls High School in New York where he was previously committed to division II Adelphi. He had also previously attended St. Anthony High School in New Jersey.
The six-foot-four swingman is a college ready scorer who does his best work attacking off the dribble and has become an improved shooter from the perimeter.
He’s seen wide-ranging recruitment in recent years spanning from the division II level all the way up to the Atlantic 10 Conference.
