KUA, Magic’s Price earns Scholarship
At a time when division II recruiting is at a virtual standstill, Kimball Union Academy and Middlesex Magic rising senior guard Matt Price seized the opportunity to earn a scholarship.
Adelphi first offered Price earlier this summer and, on Monday, Price made a verbal commitment to head coach Dave Duke.
Price exceeded all expectations in his first year in the prep ranks, helping KUA to a 20-win season and a return to the NEPSAC play-offs.
This summer, he joined the Magic and quickly played his way up to the program's top teaming.
Program Director Michael Crotty Jr. referred to Price as "one of those players and people that make me thankful I am a coach!"
A highly skilled guard who is loaded with intangibles, Price plays with a very high-motor and an infectious energy level.
He is the 7th member of the Magic's 2021 class to make a commitment and 5th to pledge to a scholarship level.
