Knight Makes the Call

New England Recruiting Report | Monday, October 5th, 2015

Kimball Union Academy post-graduate big man Nathan Knight made a verbal commitment to William & Mary on Monday night.

A native of upstate New York, Knight joined the New Hampshire based D.C. Blue Devils last spring, starred with them throughout the AAU season and went on to become one of the biggest stock-risers in the northeast.

By the time the summer had come to an end, Knight had collected over 20 division I scholarship offers ranging all the way up to the American Athletic Conference as well as multiple schools in the Atlantic Ten.

The Blue Devils summer included the championship at the Hoop Group Tip-Off, a second place finish at the Hoop Group Summer JamFest and a spot in the Elite 8 of AAU u17 nationals in Kentucky.

Knight, who didn't turn 18 until last month, ultimately cut his list to eight schools and took his official visit to William & Mary this past weekend.

The southpaw four-man is highly skilled for his size with shooting range that extends out to the three-point and tremendous ball-handling and passing abilities. That skill set should make him an ideal fit in William & Mary's offensive system.

Knight becomes the second KUA product to pledge to William & Mary in the last three years joining current sophomore point guard Oliver Tot.

Knight also becomes the second KUA and Blue Devils product to commit to a division I school following Luke Rosinski's pledge to New Hampshire.
