Kindred off the Board

Worcester Academy’s Gabe Kindred has committed to Loyola of Chicago after having recently taken an official visit to the school.

With two senior guards set to graduate this year, Kindred should have an opportunity to contend for immediate playing time upon joining the team next season.

The California native arrived in Worcester in the fall of 2008, and repeated his junior year after transferring from Fremont High School in Oakland.  He was immediately productive upon arriving in New England as he averaged 15 points per game in his first season in the NEPSAC and also starred with the New England Playaz on the AAU circuit.

In that time, Kindred has quickly developed a reputation as one of the region’s most fiery competitors and someone who will do just about anything to help his team win.

He has shown his ability to play both guard positions and put points on the board while starring with Worcester Academy, while also demonstrating his ability to be a defensive stopper with the Playaz.

Ultimately, he is the type of player who is sure to have a successful college career because he is tough, hard-nosed, and extremely competitive.  Consequently, he is going to continue to get better and find ways to get himself on the floor and be productive…in other words you can bet his impact will be felt quickly and consistently at Loyola.
