Joseph Picks Syracuse

Cushing Academy and Mass Rivals point guard Kaleb Joseph made a verbal commitment to Syracuse on Saturday while on their campus for his official visit.

Joseph had previously cut his list to Syracuse, Providence, and West Virginia, after initially accumulating numerous other high-major offers.

A top ten point guard in the country according to ESPN.com, Syracuse made Joseph their top priority at the position all summer long, following him from Indianapolis to King of Prussia to Las Vegas.

Joseph joins Brewster Academy forward Chris McCullough to become the second player to commit to the Orange in the class of 2014, giving them the nation’s 4th best recruiting class.

Joseph called Syracuse his “dream school” and spoke exclusively to ESPN.com about the unique opportunity to live out his childhood dream.  ESPN’s senior national recruiting analyst Dave Telep also broke down how Joseph’s unselfish style made him the perfect fit for Syracuse’s needs.

His commitment culminates what has been an exciting six months for Joseph beginning with a NEPSAC Class AA championship at Cushing, followed by his final season on the grassroots circuit, and his second straight selection to Adidas Nations.
