Joseph Joining Vonleh at Adidas Nations
Following a strong performance at last week’s Adidas Super 64, Kaleb Joseph has been selected to participate in the Adidas Nations Global Experience, the pinnacle event for the Adidas grassroots basketball circuit.
Joseph joins his Mass Rivals teammate Noah Vonleh, who will be one of the most notable prospects on the four American rosters. The duo will depart on Thursday for Long Beach, California, the host city for the Adidas Nations Global Championship.
The Global Championship is the culmination of a program that began earlier this spring with training camps taking place in the United States, Afria, Asia, Australia, Europe and Latin America. This week’s championship brings the top players from those regions together to train and ultimately compete in an international championship.
Each team is guided by a former NBA coach and current or former NBA player while 30 of the nation’s top college basketball prospects, including Kentucky freshman Nerlens Noel, serve as the counselors for the event. The final rounds of the international tournament will be televised live on August 6th at 5:00 and 6:30p.m. on the CBS Sports Network.
Adidas Nations was created in 2007 and has seen 68 different alumni get drafted by the NBA since that time including the likes of Derrick Rose, Kevin Love, Tyreke Evans, James Harden, Andre Drummond, and many more.
Vonleh and Joseph are both coming off big performances in Las Vegas. Vonleh once again rose to the occasion on one of grassroots basketball’s biggest stages while Joseph was right behind him before going down with a wrist injury that kept him out of action in the Rivals’ semifinal match-up against New Heights.
