Jones Makes Pick

Belmont Hill School senior Jovan Jones is headed to play his college basketball at Williams College for the next four years.

Williams is the top ranked liberal arts school in the country according to U.S. News and World Report. They also have an extremely proud tradition on the hardwood having been to three Final Fours since 2010 and five since 2003.

Jones is a longtime product of the Mass Rivals program who earned a number of division I scholarship offers in recent years and as recently as this past summer with schools from the MAAC, Ivy, and Patriot Leagues all pursuing him. Ultimately though, he opted for a chance to earn the best education possible while having the most immediate impact ont he floor.

Jones is a strong and athletic forward who can play and defend multiple positions. He's improved his offensive game quite a bit in recent years, especially with regard to his skill set, and will undoubtedly be an immediate impact player for the Ephs.

He's also off to a great start to his senior year as he and longtime running mate David Mitchell have led the team to a 5-0 record heading into the holiday break including wins over South Kent and Rivers.

Jones becomes the 5th member of the Rivals' 2018 class to finalize his recruitment as he joins A.J. Reeves (Providence), David Duke (Providence), Alex Rivera (UMass Lowell), and Mitchell (Brown).
