Introducing Nojus Indrusaitis

Over the course of the next few weeks, the New England Recruiting Report will be profiling some of the most notable prospects set to arrive in the region this fall as part of the incoming prep school class.

One of the biggest new names in New England is that of Iowa State-commit Nojus Indrusaitis, a 247Sports 4-star Top-100 2024 recruit. He was the 2nd-ranked player in Illinois this past season and the 17th-ranked shooting guard in the country.

Indrusaitis will be transferring to Brewster Academy out of St. Rita High School in the Chicago area, where he averaged 16 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals per game this past season as a junior, helping the team earn the 19th spot in the state of Illinois high school rankings and leading the team to a Chicago Catholic League Championship.

Before St. Rita, Indrusaitis attended Lemont High School, where he averaged 23 points and 6 rebounds, earned an 2022 Chicago Sun-Times All-Area selection, and was named 2022 Chicagoland Prep Hoop Sophomore of the Year.

Last summer, Indrusaitis was named to the U16 Lithuanian National Team, and he went on to bring his home country a 2022 FIBA U16 European Championship, earning a gold medal. He led the team in scoring with over 15 points per game, also adding roughly 5 rebounds. He earned All-Tournament Team honors, which included only five players from the event.

This summer, he competed for the U18 Lithuanian National Team at the FIBA U18 European Championships. He averaged 13 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists.

He earned an offer from Illinois early on, and he has gone on to receive others from Maryland, DePaul, Missouri, Marquette, Iowa, Ole Miss, Xavier, and more. Ultimately, Indrusaitis committed to Iowa State this past winter.

For grassroots, Indrusaitis has been competing with Nike Meanstreets on the Nike EYBL Circuit. He has earned top-performers honors, all-tournament honors, and other recognitions at several events, including multiple EYBL sessions.

Earlier in the summer, Indrusaitis had expressed intent to transfer to St. Laurence High School, also in the Chicago area. However, on July 18th, he announced that he would be joining the Brewster Bobcats for the 2023-24 season.

Indrusaitis is just one of several talented Brewster newcomers. It will be interesting to see how they can coalesce for the 2023-24 season.
