Huskies Get First in 2011
Yesterday was an up and down day for the people at the University of Connecticut. It began on a high note when six-foot-seven small forward Maurice Harkless announced he was making a verbal commitment to the Huskies on SNY.TV.
Later last night UConn dropped a heartbreaking loss to Kentucky at Madison Square Garden 64-61.
Harkless is an athletic slasher from the wing who should be able to put points on the board right away upon arriving in Storrs. He averaged 16 points and 12 rebounds last year as a sophomore at Forrest Hills High School and is the first player in the Class of 2011 to commit to UConn.
