Hazelton Camp Returning Next Week
Each and every August since 2007 the New England Recruiting Report has made the trip to Andover, Massachusetts for the annual Scott Hazelton Basketball School directed by former McDonald’s All-American (2000).
This year will be no different as the camp will be held from August 11th – 14th at the Greater Lawrence Technical School in Andover. The New England Recruiting Report will once again be front and center to start on the week on Monday morning as we return to the place where we first saw the likes of Noah Vonleh (Charlotte Hornets via Indiana), Evan Smotrycz (Maryland), Carson Desrosiers (Providence), and Pat Connaughton (Notre Dame).
Those are just the tip of the iceberg though when it comes to the long list of notable alumni, which also includes Zach Auguste (Notre Dame), Cedric Kuakumensah (Brown), Matt Brown (Harvard), Goodluck Okonoboh (UNLV), Kaleb Josheph (Syracuse), Mike Auger (Penn), Ryan Canty (Fordham), Scott King (Stony Brook), Alec Brennan (Princeton), Sammy Mojica (Drexell), Jacquil Taylor (Purdue), Matt Cimino (George Washington), Adrian Oliveira (Southern NH), John Powell (Bloomfield), Ryan Hartung (St. Anselm), Tevin Falzon (Sacred Heart), Dimitris Floras (Quinnipiac), Matt Leblance (Princeton), Colin Richey (St. Mike's), Steve Haladyna (Tufts), & Joe Mussachia (Amherst).
This year’s event is expected to attract a combination of old and new, as camp alums will return to the court (as was the case last year when Vonleh and Hazelton went up and down against each other) while welcoming in a new era of campers which is expected to include some of the top young prospects in New England.
