Harvard Lands First in 2011

Harvard head coach Tommy Amaker landed his first commitment in the class of 2011 this weekend from Jonah Travis, a six-foot-six forward from De La Salle High School in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Travis is a highly talented player who ran with the Minnesota Pump n'Run this summer.  ESPN gives him a high-major rating of 90 while NBE Basketball reports that he selected Harvard over 18 other division I scholarship offers.

Travis is best described as a combo-forward with a great motor.  While he does the majority of his damage inside the paint his perimeter skills are steadily improving allowing him to score the ball in a variety of different ways.  Travis selected the Crimson over the likes of Boise State, Wisconsin Green Bay, and Miami of Ohio.
