Harvard Announces Coaching Clinic

The sixth annual Harvard Basketball Coaches Clinic will take place Saturday, Oct. 27 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Lavietes Pavilion under the direction of head coach Tommy Amaker.

The first session includes opening remarks by Coach Amaker and an observation of a Harvard Basketball practice, including insight and analysis from Coach Amaker.

There will also be a guest lecture with Mike Longabardi, who is entering his sixth season as an assistant coach with the Boston Celtics. Working under head coach Doc Rivers, who was our 2007 featured guest clinician, Longabardi helped the Celtics win the NBA Championship in 2008. Longabardi also previously served as an assistant coach with the Houston Rockets, and has experience coaching at the collegiate level as well. Follow his lecture, Coach Longabardi will host a question-and-answer session in the afternoon to conclude the event.

Cost for the clinic is $50 per person if you pre-register before Oct. 19, and $65 if you register the week of the clinic. For more information, please contact assistant coach Brian DeStefano via phone (617) 495-3920 or by email ([email protected]) or visit the Harvard Basketball website.
