Grand Canyon’s Bryce Drew joins The Upside Podcast
Bryce Drew comes from one of college basketball's most well-known families. He was a star growing up in Indiana, made one of the most legendary shots in NCAA tournament history while playing for his dad at Valparaiso, and went on to play in the NBA before begin his coaching career on his father's staff at Valpo.
Drew eventually became the head coach at Valpo before being hired at Vanderbilt, where he defied the recruiting world by landing a pair of McDonald's All-Americans in Darius Garland and Simi Shittu.
Most recently, he became the head coach at Grand Canyon amidst the coronavirus pandemic, which has made building relationships with his players especially challenging.
