Gillespie Headed Back to Elite 75

Levy Gillespie, one of the top up and coming talents in the state of Connecticut, will be returning to this year’s New England Junior Elite 75 Showcase.

Gillespie starred at last year’s showcase showing terrific playmaking ability and feel for the game beyond his years, and this year he promises to once again be among the top talents in the building.

The 8th grade star is in the midst of a tremendous winter season, achieving success in a variety of different venues.
He played in three tournaments with Hartford 300 this winter and led his team to an undefeated record throughout all three, claiming championships at the Christmas Crash Tournament in Hartford, the Junior Hoophall Classic in Springfield, and the Chris Ragazzi Tournament in East Hartford where he earned MVP honors.

Gillespie also played for Hartford Travel’s 8th grade team that participated in the Central Connecticut Travel League.  Yet again, his team went undefeated as he averaged close to 26 points per game.

But that’s nothing compared to what he did with his Capital Prep Middle School team as he went for 45 points twice against both Classical Magnet and Noah Webster of Hartford and then exploded for 58 points in a single game against Sage Park of Windsor.

The New England Junior Elite 75 Showcase is scheduled for Saturday, March 20th at Boston University’s Case Gymnasium.  Limited spots are still available and nominations can be sent to [email protected].
