Furness Hoping to Make Decision Soon
Alex Furness showed consistent signs last spring of being ready to break out and once July came around he did just that, leading MB Nation to the AAU 12th Grade National Championship and picking up his first division I offer from Wagner in the process.
Since that time, Furness' division I suitors have continued to grow and last week he took unofficial visits to Hofstra, Boston University, and Quinnipiac.
Now a commitment may come sooner rather than later according to MB Nation head coach Mike Woodbury with a decision potentially even coming in the next ten days before Furness leaves for his post-graduate year at Cushing Academy.
The six-foot-six guard is especially appealing to college coaches because of his upside and mismatch potential in the backcourt. He has tremendous size and length for his position along with a crafty attacking game. Moving forward, he projects as a guy who will only continue to improve as he adds muscle to his long frame.
