Frechette Earns Scholarship

Governor's Academy and D.C. Blue Devils' senior D.J. Frechette accepted a scholarship offer from division II Post University on Friday.

He took to his twitter account to announce his decision.

Frechette is a New Hampshire native who previously starred for Nashua South High School before transferring into Governor's last fall. He was one of the breakout performers at this summer's Elite 75 College Showcase and helped lead the Blue Devils to a championship at the BasketBull National Invitational as well as the finals of the Big Apple Summer Showcase during the subsequent July live period.

"D.J. is a very hard-working and determined player," said D.C. Blue Devils director and head coach T.J. Thompson. "His game has grown tremendously over the last three years. Post got a good one."

A volume scorer on the wing, Frechette is a dangerous slasher, good athlete, and much improved athlete who can create his own shot and put the ball in the basket from various spots on the floor.

He joins Ronnie Silva to become the second member of the Blue Devil's 2018 class to earn a scholarship. Below are highlights of Frechette's junior season care of HUDL:
