Fleming Staying Home
The top ranked senior in the state of Maine is staying close to home for the next for years after accepting a full athletic scholarship from Blackbears head coach Bob Walsh.
Fleming, who starred with MBR on the AAU circuit last spring and summer, earned offers ranging from the Ivy League to Division II before committing to Maine.
Last year as a junior at Oxford Hills, Fleming averaged nearly 17 points , 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals per game and was named third team All-State by the Bangor Daily News.
Fleming is a long and deceptively athletic 6-foot-7 forward with a high motor. He plays with high energy, is a good rebounder and has a high release to score effectively inside the lane.
The local product becomes the first player to commit to the Black Bears in the 2016 class.
