Fitzgerald Picks Norwich

Winchester (MA) High School guard Ryan Fitzgerald has been admitted, and subsequently committed to, Norwich University.

Fitzgerald emerged as one of the most improved players in the Middlesex League this past season, transforming himself from a limited offensive player to a consistent double figure scorer who averaged more than 13 points per game, and was recently recognized by the Daily Time Chronicle as a result.

The versatile six-foot-three swingman has worked hard to develop both his game and his physique, and now boasts a college ready body that should ease his transition to the next level of competition.

Norwich has been recruiting Fitzgerald for the better part of the last year after having first noticed him at the 2013 Hoop Mountain Spring Classic and continuing to follow him throughout both the high school and AAU seasons.

Norwich also appealed to Fitzgerald because of their strong criminal justice program, which he plans on pursuing as his intended major.
