Exeter’s DeLorenzo Heading to Middlebury
Phillips Exeter Academy senior swingman Perry DeLorenzo is heading to Middlebury College next year where he'll continue his basketball career at the prestigious NESCAC school.
A three-year member of the Exeter squad who won a Class A championship as a sophomore, put up some big numbers as a junior and is one of the team's captains as a senior, DeLorenzo might be best known for his ability to shoot the basketball but provides additional value with his toughness, college ready body and high basketball I.Q.
A Vermont native who starred with Lone Wolf Athletics on the AAU circuit, DeLorenzo was widely recruited by a number of high academic schools before ultimately committing to head coach Jeff Brown and the Panthers.
DeLorenzo's decision was announced by Exeter head coach Jay Tilton via the program's twitter account:

"With some great options in front of him I'm excited to see Perry choose Middlebury as the best fit for his future," Tilton told the New England Recruiting Report. "An exemplary student athlete at Exeter, Perry has been the backbone of our program from the time he arrived three years ago. With the ability to put up big stats in any game, it's Perry's grit, competitiveness and commitiment to being a complete player that makes him so valuable. He makes his teammates better every day and I am excited to see him do the same in the NESCAC. A great program is adding a terrific young piece in Perry."
