ESPN announces updated 2018 rankings

New England Recruiting Report | Tuesday, June 20th, 2017

ESPN announced updated and expanded national rankings in the class of 2018 with their initial ESPN 100.

Several local names made the list including quite a few debut appearances.

It all began with Vermont Academy forward Simisola Shittu who retained his place in the top 10 with a huge EYBL regular season followed by a big performance at the NBA Top 100 Camp.

The first true local product to check-in was St. Andrew's and BABC forward Cole Swider who checked in at 48 on the list. Swider was the first of four New England products to be clustered in the next six spots as the title of New England's best is obviously still very much up for grabs.

Milton Academy and New York Rens guard Cormac Ryan moved into the 50th spot after a solid showing on this year's EYBL circuit while Mass Rivals guard A.J. Reeves and David Duke, from Brimmer & May and Cushing Academy, have played their way inside the 60 at 53 and 54.

Incoming Brewster Academy forwards Isaiah Mucius and Hameir Wright, who both play with the PSA Cardinals, check in at 67 and 80 respectively on the list.

Putnam Science Academy and We-R1 guard Eric Ayala and Northfield Mount Hermon and New England Playaz forward Nate Laszewski make their debut performance in the ESPN 100 at 87 and 91 respectively.
