Elite 75 Academic Experience debuting next month
For the last nine years Elite 75 has become synonymous with the very best showcases New England has to offer.
Now, for the first time, that Elite 75 tradition is stretching into the realm of academia and including much more than just a showcase with the Elite 75 Academic Experience, a one of a kind event set to debut on Sunday, March 15th at Wesleyan University.
While the event will include the same levels of competition and exposure that Elite 75 has been known for on the court, the day’s activities are also designed to provide academic prospects and their families with all of the information they’ll need to navigate what has become an incredibly saturated market of prospects competiting for ultra competitive spots at premier academic institutions.
What makes the Elite 75 Academic Experience different?
- In order to be eligible, prospects must carry a minimum grade point average of 3.0 as well as a score of 1000 or better on either the SAT or PSAT test;
- Coaches from high academic schools won’t just be on hand to evaluate, they’ll be part of the event staff, providing direct exposure to the maximum number of coaches possible;
- Guest lecturers will speek to both players and parents regarding standarized testing preparation, giving you all the insite possible to improve your scores and consequent chances of admission;
- An interactive panel will discuss the specifics of how admission works for recruiting student athletes at top academic schools. Specifically, players and parents will get a detailed explanation of how the Ivy’s Academic Index works as well as the NESCAC’s chip system.
- Players will also hear directly from current and former student-athletes from top academic leagues who will offer their perspective on what life is like after you’re admitted and become a part of these programs. Everything from a typical day in the life to weight training will be on the table as participants will have access to uncensored and candid information.
