Duncan Picks Princeton
Wilbraham & Monson and Fundamental U guard Ryan Duncan announced his commitment yesterday to Princeton.
Before coming to New England, Duncan played at Chicago University High School in Illinois. He had a standout senior season, helping lead them to a 10-1 conference record and 18-9 overall. Duncan was averaging an impressive 21.3 points, 6.3 assists, and 2.4 steals per game at the mid-season mark. That went with shooting 53.8% from the field and 46.1% from three-point range.
He immediately impacted WMA in NEPSAC AA. Duncan is looked upon as one of the main perimeter offensive threats for a team that will be hoping to hit its stride after the New Year. He scored 16 points and dished out 6 assists in the Titans’ win earlier this month against Cheshire Academy.
Duncan competed on the Under Armour Rise circuit for Fundamental U. He impressed at several events in the Midwest last summer.
“Ryan’s commitment to his development as a player is unquestionable,” said WMA head coach Mike Mannix. “He puts in the extra work, is a good teammate, and very coachable.”
“His work ethic in the classroom speaks for itself. It is another area in which he pushes himself. I know he is looking forward to becoming a part of the tradition of Princeton Basketball.”
Duncan becomes the third member of the Titans’ 2023 class who has finalized their plans to play college basketball next year.
