Drummond is Top Ranked Player in Country by ESPN

ESPN announced their updated rankings in the class of 2012 earlier today and Middletown, Connecticut native Andre Drummond was their top prospect in the country.

This doesn't come as a total surprise as ESPN recruiting analyst Reggie Rankin declared Drummond the top prospect in 2012 after watching him late last month at the AAU nationals.

Drummond jumped ahead of Syracuse, New York native Dajuan Coleman who was the previous top ranked player in the country, and now sits at #2.

Both Drummond and Coleman were in action earlier this year at the Northeast Hoops Festival, while Drummond also played in the Super 16 Showcase and New England Elite 75 Showcase later this summer.

Also checking in on the "Terrific 25" list was incoming Winchendon sophomore Khem Birch who sits at #11 and St. Andrew's Ricardo Ledo at #13.

Stay tuned to the New England Recruiting Report over the next two days as we'll take a look at 2012 stock risers tomorrow and then announce our updated rankings on Wednesday.

Once we've finished updated our rankings, we'll take a look back at ESPN's national rankings in all three classes and break down exactly how the New Englanders faired.
