CT 2022 Risers & New Names
While most prep school programs are currently on winter break, the last six weeks brought a return to a normal season with the National Prep Showcase, Zero Gravity Prep Classic, and Scholar Roundball Classic among other events.
More recently, high school basketball has returned to the six state associations as well.
Accordingly, we've now had the chance to evaluate a number of newly arrived prospects to the region as well as others who have taken their game to new levels in the last six weeks.
In the state of Connecticut, some of those new names include the likes of: Barry Evans, Mouhamadou Cisse, Arturo Dean, and Taiga Jones from Putnam Science Academy; Jalen Pitre, Simon Helderbrandt, Tyshawn Trail, and Travonne Jackson from Woodstock Academy; Emmanuel Callas and Killian Gribben from Choate Rosemary Hall; and Lukas Gudavicius from Avon Old Farms.
St. Thomas More's Taku Youngblood has been among the most notable stock-risers along with Woodstock's Promise Opurum and Suffield Academy's Henry White.
These developments are all reflected in the newly updated Connecticut 2022 rankings.
These rankings will continue to be updated throughout the season as we are able to evaluate more programs.
