Coronell Transfers to Tabor

Demitry Coronell was one the winners of this summer’s July live period in the class of 2011.

The six-foot-five swingman played to rave reviews at numerous stops, first shining at the New England Elite 75 Showcase and then continuing to standout with his Metro Boston AAU club.

Now it appears as if Coronell is joining the class of 2012.

The former East Boston star reportedly transferred to Tabor Academy earlier this week, opting to repeat his junior year.

A long and athletic swingman with great size for the position, Coronell also has a solid basketball skill set with dependable three-point range and the handle to create his own shot.

At Tabor, he should be poised to be the centerpiece of the program under second year head coach Chris Millette, who added four quality underclassmen to the program following his first season.

With another year to hone his basketball skills and develop his body, Coronell projects as the prototypical swingman at the next level with all the physical gifts and basketball skills to intrigue coaches from a variety of different levels.
