Commitment Catch-Up pt. VI

During these busy past couple of months, several local prospects announced their commitments to play college basketball for the next stage of their careers.  

 

Brookfield High School all-time leading scorer Shane Weber recently announced his commitment to Post University, taking his talents to the Northeast 10 Conference at the Division II level. Weber had plenty of scoring performances in the 20s, 30s, and 40s this past season, including one game with 50 points. 

 

Kennedy High School (NY)/Crown Basketball point guard/shooting guard Leo Ferry recently announced his commitment to Salisbury to continue his basketball career at the Division III level. The Elite 75 College Showcase alum was a standout scorer for Kennedy this past season. 

 

Belmont High School/Bay State Jaguars 6’5” small forward Donovan Holway recently announced his commitment to Wentworth for the next chapter of his career. He had a handful of 20+ point scoring performances, bringing success to Belmont.

 

Wantagh High School/Level Up LI guard Charles Destefano recently announced his commitment to Lycoming, continuing his career at the Division III level. The Elite 75 College Showcase alum was also a 3-year starter at Lynbrook High School, where he earned All-Conference honors for his performance over both of the two seasons prior to his transfer to Wantagh.

 

Thayer Academy/Bay State Jaguars 6’3” guard Lenny Tangishaka Jr. recently announced his commitment to Assumption University for the 2024-25 season. The elite scorer averaged 22 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, a steal, and a block per game throughout the season.

 

Northfield Mt. Hermon/Prodigy 6’7” power forward Camden Fleming recently announced his commitment to Rochester for the next chapter of his basketball career. He impressed at the Elite 75 College Showcase this past summer, showing a high basketball IQ, good touch around the post, and versatility on both ends of the floor.

 

Marianapolis Prep guard Harrison Stanwood recently announced his commitment to Division III power Nichols College to continue his basketball career at the collegiate level. The Elite 75 Frosh/Soph alum averaged 16 points for a strong Marianapolis team this past season, earning All-NEPSAC Class-B First Team honors.
