Commitment Catch-Up: Kante is SEC Bound
Issac Kante ended his recruitment on Tuesday by announcing he will play next year at the University of Georgia.
Kante spent the last year as a post-graduate at Putnam Science after spending his high school career at Brooklyn's Robeson Business Tech. A product of the New York Lightning EYBL program, he saw his recruitment soar to new heights as he added offers from Penn State, DePaul, and Fordham in the fall.
At PSA, Kante played an important role on a loaded Mustangs squad and helped them to both the inaugural Power 5 Conference title and a spot in the National Prep Championship semi-finals where the team fell to eventual champion Brewster Academy.
His recruitment continued to grow in the process with new offers from the likes of St. John's, Georgetown, and Georgia in recent months.
Kante will join top 100 wing Rayshaun Hammonds along with big man Nicolas Claxton and guard TeShaun Hightower in the Bulldogs incoming class and is the 6th PSA player to commit to a D1 program this year.
