Coleman is ACC Bound
Dexter Southfield and WrightWay Skills big man Charles Coleman announced his verbal commitment to Wake Forest on Saturday evening.
He follows in the footsteps of longtime teammates Noah Kamba and Jordan Mason to become the third Dexter product to commit in as many weeks.

“The reason why I chose to go to Wake Forest is because of their past success,” Coleman told Rivals.com's Corey Evans. “Coach Manning was an All-Star big man and a Hall of Famer who played in the NBA for many years at my position. Coach Manning has also developed big men that have transitioned to the pros successfully. I feel like as a fellow big, I can develop under Coach Manning because of his experience.”
Manning's history of developing big men makes him an ideal fit for Coleman, a 6-foot-11 true senior who has made significant strides in recent years and yet still has his best basketball a few years down the road.
Coleman's progression in recent years has included a complete transformation of his physique as well as the development of his skill-set to the point where he can stretch the floor to the arc and score over either shoulder in the post.
He joins Woodstock Academy big man Ody Oguama and MacDuffie wing Ismael Massoud to become the third local New England product to commit to Wake Forest in the 2019 class.
Below are some of Coleman's recent highlights.
