Coaches vs. Cancer Suits & Sneakers Week coming to New England in January
The 9th annual Scholar Roundball Classic tips Friday afternoon at Babson College.
For the previous four years, the first day of the event coincided with a Coaches vs. Cancer fundraiser that anually raised about $2,000. This year, the goal is much more substantial.
The New England Recruiting Report is again teaming up with Coaches vs. Cancer to coordinate what we hope will be a major set of fundraisers throughout New England during Suits & Sneakers week (January 21st – 27th).
Our goal is to get 50 or more schools to host their own fundraisers in conjunction with a home basketball game. If each school raises just $500 we will be able to reach our collective goal of raising $25,000 for the American Cancer Society.
Participating programs will be promotrf throughout NERR's various media platforms while Coaches vs. Cancer will provide individual websites for each school to raise money, wristbands for all players, and t-shirts for those who raise over $100 each.
