Clemson Edomwonyin Commits to Drexel
This past weekend, South Kent School/Spain U18 2024 6’10” forward Clemson Edomwonyin committed to Drexel for the next chapter of his career…
The first thing everyone should know about this rapidly improving prospect is that he just began playing basketball two to three years ago.
The East London, England native made his way to New England from the City of London Academy, transferring to historic national powerhouse South Kent School to compete in the elite NEPSAC Class-AAA.
Outside of school, Edomwonyin has competed with the Spanish U18 National Team. He also received honors last spring at the HoopsFix Showcase, playing in the HoopsFix All-Star Classic among only the event’s most elite attendees.
Unsurprisingly, it was not long into his New England prep career that he received his first official NCAA Division I offer, coming from Drexel University in Philadelphia, to which he would ultimately commit.
Edomwonyin also received interest from a handful of other Division I programs, collecting another offer just the next month, this time from Fordham University in New York City. After some deliberation, Edomwonyin chose Drexel.
“I chose Drexel because of the amazing coaching staff and their great development with big men,” Edomwonyin told 24/7 High School Hoops, citing the program’s history of developing frontcourt prospects into successful forwards as a major factor in his decision.
It will be exciting to follow Clemson Edomwonyin as he takes his talents to the Coastal Athletic Association to compete at the NCAA Division I level for the Drexel Dragons…
