Chike Ndefo Commits to Towson

Last weekend, Vermont Academy/Crown HGSL 2024 6’7” wing/forward Chike Ndefo committed to Towson University for the 2024-2025 season. He also received offers from UMBC, Fairfield, Siena, Iona, Drexel, Mt. St. Mary’s, Stony Brook, Manhattan, and more.

Ndefo made a name for himself early in his high school career, as he was named to the 2021 All-Long Island Sophomore Team after leading Elmont HS to an 8-0 conference title during the regular season.

Following the end of his sophomore year, Ndefo reclassified to the class of 2024 and transferred to Vermont Academy to compete in the NEPSAC’s AAA conference.

While Ndefo has had a great couple of seasons at VA, he has also found tremendous success competing on the HGSL circuit with Crown during the spring/summer. He helped lead Crown to a Pittsburgh Jam Fest Championship last April, earning First Team All-HGSL for the month of April, as well as numerous standout recognitions at events along the way.

If the name sounds at all familiar, it might just be because of the fact that his older brother KC Ndefo was on the 15-seed St. Peter’s team that went on a Cinderella March Madness run back in the 2022 NCAA Tournament. He most recently suited up for Seton Hall.

It will be interesting to see whether Chike Ndefo can find similar success at the collegiate level…
