Cheshire Academy’s Ellis is D1 Bound
When Will Ellis arrived at Cheshire Academy this fall he was completely under-the-radar. Seven months later and he is now a division I player.
Ellis announced his commitiment to Central Connecticut State University and head coach Donyell Marshall this weekend.
He took to his twitter account to publicize his decision.
First of all I want to thank God for giving me this opportunity and special thanks to all my coaches friends and Family who helped me through this long process. I’m Proud To announce that I will be playing Division 1 Basketball at Central Connecticut State University pic.twitter.com/GtFsZ9YjQg

A New York native who used his post-graduate year to both build up his body and prove himself against higher level competition, Ellis stuffed all columns of the stat sheet this year with 14.8 points, 6.1 assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game.
"Will is an explosive lead guard who led the team in scoring, rebounding, and assists. Players lie that usually have great careers in the NEC," said Cheshire Academy head coach Kevin Kehoe.
