Ian Krishnan 2018

Central Connecticut State University and head coach Donyell Marshall scored a quality late commitment in the 2018 class over the weekend when Proctor Academy post-graduate Ian Krishnan pledged to the Blue Devils.

Krishnan is a 6-foot-2 guard who came to New England from Clarksburg High School in Maryland, where he was a two-sport star doubling on both the hardwood and grid-iron.

A product of the District Basketball Club, Krishnan emerged as a division I sleeper last summer and continued to increase his recruitment throughout his post-graduate year, especially late in the season when he put up some big numbers for Proctor.

A throwback style two-guard, Krishnan is a shooter first and foremost, but also brings that football like toughness with him to the basketball court. He should be able to make an immediate contribution in the Northeast Conference next season and is the second local prep product, joining Cheshire Academy's Will Ellis, to commit to CCSU this spring.

Below are some of Krishnan's highlights from this past season.
