Canterbury’s Kealey Earns Scholarship
Canterbury School post-graduate and Crown Basketball forward Jaden Kealey announced last week that he would be continuing his career at Pace University, a D2 school in New York, next year.
Kealey made a smooth transition to the prep level, playing a key role in Canterbury making the NEPSAC Class B title game. His stellar play earned him All-NEPSAC Class B honors. He competed on the AAU circuit with Crown Basketball in the HGSL.
“Jaden is probably the most mature player I have coached in my time at Canterbury,” said Canterbury School head coach Brian Baudinet. “He’s very perceptive and understands the process of development. He’s a hard worker who buyed into what we were trying to do - both from an individual and team standpoint.”
“He’s physical, athletic, tough, and works hard. Over the course of the year, I saw great growth in his finishing, driving ability, ability to make pass plays off the dribble, and his interior defense. With his work ethic and maturity, I expect him to continue that growth throughout his college career.”
He becomes the fifth member from Canterbury’s 2022 class to finalize his recruitment and third member to commit to a scholarship level program.
