Bunting A10 Bound

Tabor Academy big man Jesse Bunting made a verbal commitment to Fordham on Sunday night.

Bunting had previously cut his list to four schools and took his first visit to Fordham earlier this month before visiting Quinnipiac this weekend.  He had subsequent trips scheduled to Duquesne and St. Joseph’s before opting to pull the trigger early for the Rams.

Bunting, who has played with Expressions Elite in each of the last two grassroots season, is a rugged and athletic big man who has made major strides in the roughly 18 months since he first arrived on the scene.

He began his high school career at Plymouth North High School in Massachusetts, averaging 20 points and 11 rebounds per game as a junior before opting to reclassify at Tabor.

He went on to score numerous division I scholarships offers, showing an unusual combination of power and athleticism.  Bunting runs the floor, rebounds the ball in traffic, finishes through contact, and has developed into a capable shooter from 12-15 feet.

Bunting is the latest in a long line of products that Fordham has plucked from the New England prep schools joining the likes of Ryan Canty, Eric Paschall, and others.
