Brogna Headed to Stonehill Next Year

Worcester Academy & Middlesex Magic forward Todd Brogna announced his commitment on Friday night to Stonehill.

Brogna began his high school career at Algonquin, being on the varsity squad as a freshman. He really stood out in the 2020-21 season. While the Titans only played eight games, Brogna averaged 20 points and 12 rebounds. He also shot 50% from the field and 80% from the line in that season.

Brogna made a decision to transfer to Worcester Academy in the fall of 2021. This came with a move into the class of 2023. His first season playing an elevated level of competition went well. He was a key piece for a team that won the 2022 NEPSAC AA Championship.

On the AAU circuit, Brogna was a part of the Middlesex Magic program. He competed on the Magic’s Hoop Group Showcase League team coached by Lambros Papalambros.

“The Middlesex Magic family is extremely proud of Todd,” said program director Michael Crotty. “He is super competitive, rugged, and physical at 6’6. In addition to those things, he can also drill three-pointers and is an excellent passer from the forward spot.

“Coach Lambros' team had a great HGSL season with Todd being a big reason why. We are really proud and think he has a chance to make an immediate impact at Stonehill as they begin their Division One journey.”

Brogna becomes the third member of Worcester’s 2023 class who has finalized their plans to play division college basketball next season.
