Isaiah Fontaine 2016

Brimmer and May School's unsigned senior big man Isaiah Fontaine accepted a full athletic scholarship offer from Southern University on Friday.

Southern University is a division I school overlooking the Mississippi River in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Fontaine took to his twitter account to announce his decision Friday night:

A long and athletic big man with a high ceiling, Fontaine first arrived in the prep ranks last year at Williston Northamption School where he helpe the team to a NEPSAC Class A championship. He transferred to Brimmer & May for his senior campaign and made consistent strides throughout the course of the year, earning increasing division I interest along the way.

"I'm glad that he was able to come to Brimmer, work hard and turn his dream into a reality," Brimmer & May head coach Tom Nelson told the New England Recruiting Report.

Eastern Kentucky became the first division I school to offer Fontaine a scholarship last month while Southern followed shortly afterward while he was on their campus for his official visit.

Fontaine joins Mark Gasperini, who signed with American in the fall, to become the second Brimmer & May product to commit to a division I school this year.

Below are some of his recent highlights:
