Brewster’s Kisunas is UConn Bound
Brewster Academy big man Lukas Kisunas created his first twitter account on Sunday.
A day later, he used his first tweet to announce that he had made a verbal commitment to the University of Connecticut.
Thank you to all the coaches who took time to recruit me. I'm excited to announce my commitment to study & play basketball at #UConn ! pic.twitter.com/AsBjYb4hIT

Kisunas is a Lithuanian native and longtime member of the country's junior national teams who first arrived in the United States last fall. He quickly went on to become the man in the middle for a Brewster Academy team that wound up being the first prep school team in recent history to finish undefeated and win both the NEPSAC AAA Championship as well as the National Prep Championship.
Known for his toughness, Kisunas is rugged inside the lane on both ends of the floor but also a well-schooled big man who has good hands, footwork, screening ability, and passing tools.
He is already the fifth member of Brewster's 2018 class to commit to a high-major school as he joins Derek Culver (West Virginia), Miles Norris (Oregon), Isaiah Mucius (Wake Forest), and Buddy Boeheim (Syracuse).
Kisunas joined the New England Playaz for the spring and helped guide them to a first place regular season finish in the Adidas Gauntlet. He returned home in the summer to rejoin the Lithuanian National Team as they competed in the u18 European Championships. Below are some of his summer highlights.
