Brewster’s Ellis Makes Pick
Brewster Academy senior Walter Ellis made a verbal commitment to Bucknell University following his official visit this weekend.
When the Indiana native arrived in Wolfeboro earlier this fall, he already had division I offers to his name, but a year in the New England prep ranks allowed him to both prove himself against the highest level of prep competition in the country while also getting exposures to some of the nation's top academic schools.
He landed new offers from multiple Ivy and Patriot League schools in recent months before deciding on the two-time defending Patriot League champions.

Ellis, who is the son of former Notre Dame star and NBA player LaPhonso Ellis, is a true senior who is young relative to other top prospects in the class of 2018 and just beginning to scratch the surface of his potential.
He made huge strides during the season, emerging as a key weapon and model of consistency for the Bobcats this year while simultaneously proving his shooting prowess from behind the three-point line.
Ellis becomes the seventh member of Brewster's 2018 class to accept a full athletic scholarship from a division I school.
