Bowen Heading to Tallahassee Next Fall
Brewster Academy & Expressions Elite forward Taylor Bowen announced his commitment to Florida State yesterday.
Bowen began his career at St. George’s School. He was a contributor as a freshman for a Dragons team that went 23-4 and made it to the NEPSAC Class B semifinals.
After the COVID-19 Pandemic took away the majority of his sophomore year, Bowen decided to transfer to Brewster Academy starting in the fall of 2021. He played a significant role for the 2022 NEPSAC AAA Champions, earning Honorable Mention All-NEPSAC.
Bowen has had a very good spring for Expressions Elite on the Nike EYBL circuit. He is averaging 13.8 points and 7.6 rebounds for a team that is 10-3 and at the top of Pool D.
“Taylor possesses a tremendous work ethic and desire to improve,” said Brewster Academy head coach Jason Smith. He’s a very versatile player with a diverse skill set. In addition to this, Taylor has worked very hard over the years with his past coaches at Expressions Elite and St. George’s School to put himself in this position.”
“I’m excited to see his continued progression in the future. He will be an excellent addition to Florida State’s basketball program and community.”
Bowen is the second member of Brewster Academy’s 2023 class to finalize their plans for the next level.
