Atson Steals the Show
Sunday afternoon's game between Vermont Academy and South Kent turned out to be the game of the weekend at the National Prep Showcase.
With both rosters loaded with talent, the stands full of enthusiastic fans, and plenty of competitive jawing taking place at both ends of the court, the stage was set for a fantastic basketball game.
While a variety of different players rose to the occassion, South Kent junior swingman Travis Atson stood out the most, not only scoring 31 points but putting together a number of high level plays as captured by Rhode Island Affiliated (see below).
Now, Atson has added new scholarship offers from Towson and DePaul with new interest from UNLV and Xavier among others. His list of offers already included Duquesne, St. Bonaventure, Fordham, Quinnipiac, Iona, Fairfield, and others.
