AOF’s Gudavicius Commits
Avon Old Farms post-graduate Lukas Gudavicius announced his commitment to Bethune Cookman University on Friday.
Gudavicius is a Lithuanian native who arrived in time to play at the NEPSAC Showcase in June and with NE6 during the July recruiting period.
He walked away from those experiences with a handful of mid to high-major division I offers ranging as high as Maryland.
"I'm really happy for Lukas," said AOF head coach Matt Mihalich. "Coach Theus has a great pro pedigree and Coach Pompey and Lukas have been loyal as long as they've known each other, so he's going somewhere he will be valued and developed. BC is getting uncommon size, skill and versatility with Lukas. I'm excited for what's to come."
"To have the opportunity to better myself at such a historically rich university and be part of such a strong and trusting family has been my dream since basketball became my life," Guadavicius tweeted about his commitment.

Lithuanian native is a major mismatch problem because of his ability to handle and pass the ball at his size.
Had offers as high as Maryland last summer. https://t.co/y1NbyKKP5b
